Integrated Intruder Alarm, Access Control, and Video Intercom Installation
The Cambridge ADHD & Autism Centre required a security upgrade that would make day-to-day access simpler, strengthen site protection and give the team more convenient control over key security systems.
The project involved upgrading the centre’s intruder alarm system, adding remote control functionality so the system can be managed more easily when required. Access control was also upgraded, with a new video intercom installed at the front door to help the team manage visitors more safely and efficiently.
A key part of the project was the integration between the access control and intruder alarm systems. This allows the access control to arm and disarm the intruder alarm, helping to reduce separate manual steps and making the system easier for the centre’s team to use.
For a professional setting such as The Cambridge ADHD & Autism Centre, security needs to be practical, reliable and carefully considered. Intruder alarm, access control and video entry systems should be installed with appropriate standards, safety, privacy and day-to-day usability in mind, especially where staff, visitors and service users are regularly on site.
The finished installation gives the centre a more streamlined security setup, supporting controlled access, remote alarm management and a simpler process for securing the premises.
Centre Director, Dr Chris Schramm, was pleased with the completed works and shared the following feedback after installation:
“Thank you for sorting the installation for last week, Gabi was excellent, please let Gabi know that he has done a good job once again!”
The project was completed successfully, with the upgraded systems working exactly as required. The Cambridge ADHD & Autism Centre now has a more streamlined and user-friendly security system that supports both everyday convenience and site protection.
