Costs
What affects the cost of fire extinguisher services?
No two premises need the same extinguishers, which is why we visit before we quote. These are the things that move the price.
Number of extinguishers
Biggest factor
Every extinguisher on site is inspected and tested at a service, so the number of units, and how they are spread across buildings and floors, sets most of the cost.
Types of extinguisher
Varies
Water, foam, CO2, dry powder and wet chemical extinguishers each suit different fire risks and have their own checks, refills and replacement parts.
Consumables
Included
Our servicing includes all normal consumable items, such as labels, seals, tags and O-rings, with no hidden charges.
Refills and recharges
If needed
An extinguisher that has been used, or has lost pressure, is refilled or recharged so it is ready for use again.
New and replacement units
If needed
Damaged units, or units that fail their service, are replaced, and new extinguishers are supplied where a risk has changed or your fire risk assessment calls for them.
Site visit
Free
We look at the premises and the extinguishers you already have, then recommend only what the site needs.

Supply and installation
Fire extinguisher supply and installation
If you are looking to protect your premises against fire, we supply and install the extinguishers your business needs. Our engineers work out which types of extinguisher suit the fire risks in each area, how many you need to meet regulations, and where they should be mounted so they are easy to reach in an emergency.
We never recommend unnecessary products, and our fire extinguisher installation prices are competitive, transparent and free from hidden charges.

Choosing the right extinguishers
The right extinguisher depends on what could burn in each part of your building, so we look at the premises before recommending anything.
The right type for each risk
Offices usually need water and CO2 extinguishers, while kitchens, workshops and areas with flammable liquids or electrical equipment may need foam, CO2, wet chemical or dry powder units.
The right quantity and position
Extinguishers should be easy to reach, properly mounted and placed for quick access during a fire. We make sure you have the minimum legal quantity on site, in line with your fire risk assessment.
Not sure which extinguishers you need? Our guide explains the options: What type of fire extinguisher do I need?
Fire extinguisher servicing and maintenance
Extinguishers can corrode over time, gauges can fail and pressure can be lost. We inspect, maintain and test fire extinguishers to help businesses comply with fire safety regulations, with servicing carried out in line with BS 5306-3, the British Standard for servicing portable fire extinguishers.
What a service covers
Each extinguisher is checked for condition, pressure and seals, and its labels and tags are updated. All normal consumable items, such as labels, seals, tags and O-rings, are included, with no hidden charges.
Refills, recharges and replacements
We refill or recharge extinguishers where necessary, including after use, and replace units that are damaged or cannot be returned to service. We also service extinguishers supplied by other companies.
Fire extinguishers should be serviced at least once a year, with monthly visual checks in between. Our maintenance support is backed by a 24-hour manned service line and a 24-hour emergency technician call-out, 365 days a year. More about maintenance
Extinguisher types
Which fire extinguishers does your business need?
Water and CO2 extinguishers are common in offices, but businesses dealing with flammable materials may need additional fire safety equipment. Your fire risk assessment should list what you need, including type, quantity, location and last date of service.
These are the main types we supply, install and service.
Water and foam
Paper, wood and textiles
Water extinguishers tackle fires involving solid materials such as paper, wood and fabric. Foam covers the same risks and flammable liquids too.
CO2
Electrical equipment
CO2 extinguishers are the usual choice around electrical equipment, such as offices and server rooms, and are also used on flammable liquids.
Wet chemical and dry powder
Kitchens and specialist risks
Wet chemical extinguishers are designed for cooking oil and fat fires. Dry powder covers several types of fire and is used where a specific risk calls for it.
