Accredited for security systems, health and safety and fire
We take our responsibilities for your security and safety very seriously, which is why our work is independently assessed. Our security systems work is certified by SSAIB and we hold NSI Silver for security systems. Our health and safety management is assessed through CHAS and Alcumus SafeContractor, and for fire, BDi Advance is a member of the Fire Industry Association (FIA).

Health and safety
CHAS and Alcumus SafeContractor
Health and safety matters on every site we work on, and it matters to the clients who let us on to theirs. Our health and safety management is independently assessed through two schemes that many clients use to pre-qualify contractors.
CHAS (the Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is one of the founding members of SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement). It simplifies contractor assessment and pre-qualification by using a common standard, in line with the competence requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015, so clients know that CHAS accredited contractors have been assessed to a minimum common health and safety standard. We have been CHAS accredited since 2017.
Alcumus SafeContractor checks that a contractor meets the necessary requirements around health and safety, equal opportunities, diversity and environmental management practices. Our SafeContractor accreditation is current.
Fire Industry Association (FIA) membership
BDi Advance is a member of the Fire Industry Association (FIA). The FIA is the UK's largest fire safety trade association, and a not-for-profit organisation that works to raise standards across the fire protection industry.
What membership gives us
Access to technical updates, training information, events and industry guidance, which helps our team keep up to date with changes in legislation, standards and good practice across fire safety.
Our fire services
We install and maintain commercial fire alarms and provide fire extinguisher services. Fire risk assessments are arranged through our sister company Pyro Fire, and fire doors and fire stopping are delivered by our sister company Aran Fire Protection.

Manufacturer partnerships
Paxton, Avigilon and i-PRO
Alongside our certifications, we work closely with the manufacturers whose systems we install. Knowing a platform properly means our engineers understand the equipment they are commissioning, which makes servicing, fault-finding and adding to a system later more straightforward.
For intruder alarms, we install Orisec systems.

Access control
We are a Paxton Gold Partner, designing, installing and maintaining Paxton access control for commercial premises.
Certified Avigilon installers
CCTV and access control
We are certified Avigilon installers, providing design, installation and support for Avigilon systems.
i-PRO
CCTV
Through our partnership with i-PRO, a brand of the Panasonic Security System Group, we supply and install i-PRO camera systems.

About SSAIB certification schemes
The Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) is a UKAS-accredited certification body for organisations providing security systems and services. As general information, SSAIB works with groups across the sectors it certifies, including the police, fire services, insurers and commercial clients, and its schemes are designed around police alarm policies and insurers' requirements. Certification is not police or insurer approval of any individual company or system: police response to an alarm depends on the police force's policy and a Unique Reference Number (URN), and insurance conditions are set by your insurer. If your insurer sets conditions on how your premises are protected, tell us at the survey stage so the design can take them into account.
