Our story
Two established security companies, now one team
BDi Advance Fire & Security brings together two Cambridgeshire security companies. Advance Fire & Security has installed and maintained CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and fire alarms for businesses across Cambridge, Newmarket, Peterborough and Bury St Edmunds, and works with national clients across the UK.
BDi Security Solutions built a particular specialism in blue-chip industries such as the pharmaceutical, healthcare and technology sectors, on everything from single business premises to multi-site, high-risk installations.
In September 2025 both companies moved into shared offices at 7 Ramsay Court, Hinchingbrooke Business Park, Huntingdon, alongside sister company Aran Fire Protection. They now work as one company, BDi Advance, with one team and one point of contact for security and fire.

What we do
Commercial security and fire systems
We design, install, service and maintain security and fire systems for commercial premises, from a single office or shop to multi-site estates. Because we do not limit ourselves to one manufacturer, equipment is specified to suit each site and its budget.
Whether you are fitting out new premises, upgrading an older system or need a company to take over maintenance, the same team handles the survey, the installation and the support afterwards.

Installed and maintained under our SSAIB certification, which covers CCTV, intruder alarms and access control.

Commercial CCTV and ANPR, with remote viewing. We are certified Avigilon installers and work in partnership with i-PRO.
Intruder alarms
Graded intruder alarms with keyholder alerts, monitoring options and control from your phone.
Access control
Door access, door entry and turnstiles for offices, schools and secure sites. We are a Paxton Gold Partner.
Perimeter protection
Barriers, bollards, road blockers, fence alarms and gate automation to control the edge of your site.
Fire safety
Fire alarms and fire extinguishers from BDi Advance, with fire risk assessments, fire doors and fire stopping arranged through our sister companies.

Fire detection and alarm systems designed, installed and maintained for commercial premises.

Maintenance and support
We service and maintain the systems we install and take over systems installed by other companies, with remote support and diagnostics where the system allows.

Accreditations and partnerships
Each accreditation covers a specific part of what we do, so we are careful to say which. Our security work is certified by SSAIB and we hold NSI Silver for security systems. Our health and safety management is CHAS accredited and Alcumus SafeContractor accredited, and we are a member of the Fire Industry Association for our fire work.
